Hi guys, Looked at a Countryman yesterday for the 1st time at the new Mini dealer in New Jersey (Ray Catena Mini of Monmouth) - really like it and want to place an order. Read that a full bench seat for the rear (3 vs 2) may already be available in the UK - how about on a US-spec'd Countryman?

Also when does the works changeover to model year 2012 from 2011?

Lastly, is the DTC as part of the Sport Package really necessary if there is aleady a traction control feature as standard?

Leatherette vs cloth - which do you prefer?

Standard seats or sport seats?

Flat colors or metallics - do they both chip as easily?

Thanks a million for any feedback.

I am getting close to ordering mine and have asked the same questions. Sport Package is a matter of preference (nothing to do with traction control) Sport seats another preference item. They are firmer than standard seats but offer more support. Difference in paint told no. But there is a protection plan for the paint ( dings, scratches etc) and the tires Bench seat will be an extra cost option is it worth it? Again depends on your preference or needs. Have fun!!!!
