I have the whole steering knuckle off the car due to some repairs i had to make, I need to replace the ball joint that is on the bottem of the knuckle. I unbolted both bolts (one on each side of the ball joing) but now i need to know how to remove the ball joint..... Is it still pressed in even though there are 2 bolts on it? do i press the new one in and then put the bolts back? or is it supposed to just tap out/in?

i have a 2002 cooper S 5spd
