Hi all need to pick your brains -- i took my 2003 mini one to a non bmw garage today for an MOT and its failed on numerous stuff one of which were my headlight adjusters have broke and my aim is too low other is the exhaust is a little deteriorated which isnt a surprise has the car is 2003 and the exhaust looks a little naff and have been waiting for that to come up for the last 2 MOTS but the shocking part is they quoted £450 for it all to repair :/
So what i would like to shed knowledge on are these headlight adjusters why are they quoting like £150 per light ? my adjuster beam works from within my car ok - so what are these adjusters ~???
ive no clue on this im not car minded so some help would be mega appreciated

Aren't the adjusters the plastic screws on top of the headlight unit? At least that's what I've had in previous cars (my MINI has the xenons). I'm sure it should be possible to replace them for £3-4 if that's all that's broken :)
Exhaust seems a tad steep, although that may depend on what needs replacing. Always worth getting a second opinion on these sort of things :D

for the exhaust, if you have to replace it why not a Milltek or something ?
