Hi,
This is my first post here so apologies if it's an idiot question!
I bought an 06 JCW convertible in March of this year, it's been a fantastically fun drive however I've had a problem with the exhaust.
It started sounding, for want of a better word, like a lawnmower attached to a loud hailer one evening, so i took it to the local Mini Sytner dealer the next morning. They couldn't look at it for 3 weeks so i found a local dealer (old chap, glasses on a bit of string etc).
He looked at it and said that I had a hole in the front box of the exhaust and that we could either repair it or we could get an exhaust in. i went for the new exhaust option but we couldn't get one in for a week and at £850 he advised me that it was fine to have it fixed.
It's been fine for about 3 weeks, that nice whine of the supercharger is evident, however today a friend of mine was in the passenger seat with the window down and said, ''your exhaust sounds quite blowy'?'' - QUE PARANOIA!:aargh:
When i got home i open the driver door and rev the car. I can hear a burbling / popping that seems to be coming from under the drivers seat area? I then get out of the car lay down on the floor (looking under the car) and press the accelerator (i have no idea what i thought i was thinking to achieve by this) - again this popping / burbling??
Am I being a prat or do you think i have a problem with the exhaust?
