Its been quite a while since I last did any lighting mods, but Id eventually got around to converting the Spot Lights over to LED rings.

Lets face it, unless you're doing a bit of rallycross, its unlikely the spotlights ever get used, especially as they can only be activated when on Main beam.
The MINIs Spot lights (& their optional plastic covers) therefore can be regarded in most cases as cosmetic adornments adding to the character of the cars design.
I thought it would be nice if they could be independently switched, regardless of other lights being on - to be used as 'marker' or 'driving' lights as it were.
This being the case, the standard high power bulbs can be dumped in favour of something a bit less blindingly bright, which is where modern LEDs come into play.
I also wanted the light to shine through the holes I'd drilled in the plastic covers, & the heat emitted from the normal bulbs would have probably melted the covers within a few minutes.
So for anyone else wanting to try something a bit different, just follow the steps in the pictures & let me know what you think of the idea.
:)
