I have just bought a set of 4 wipacs and brackets etc for my 54 plate gen 1 facelift mini one.
I know that this has been flogged to death but has anyone out there fitted the 4 lights and had the same problem I am having.
The brackets are fitted, a left and a right on one side of the grill and the same on the other but to get the lights equispaced is impossible without drilling a new light mounting hole in the two centre brackets.
The brackets themselves cannot be moved to space the existing holes equally because of either the grill uprights or the bonnet edge profile (where you drill the holes for the bracket) or the bits of the grill that stick backwards.
The best I can do is get the spacing between the light mounting holes:-
0-190mm-0-130mm-0-190mm-0.(0 is the hole)
This means drilling new holes in the centre brackets 20mm towards the outside in each to give the equal spacing of :-
0-170mm-0-170mm-0-170mm-0
Has anyone had the same problem.
Also I am a wary of drilling the bonnet so any help would be appreciated.
