Hi to all. I have an 02 plate mini one Automatic. My gearbox is making a whinning noise when driving. I assume its the box as there is no noise when in neutral and the engine is revved. apart from the usual power steering noise of course. I have not been able to find any info on whinning noises on this forum. PS. Tranmission is fine and smooth. car drives well.

I've kept pretty close tabs on CVT issues over the years and I don't recall coming across this before. How many miles does your car have on it?
