Hi,

Bought a Mini last week, was going to get charged 40 odd quid for a cable from the Mini dealer so decided to have a look on Ebay.

We have a Mini One 11 plate with a pepper pack and the multifunction steering wheel.

I bought a cable ending in part no 623 (as this seemed to be the latest one out) but have since been informed that this is for the visual boost stereo with sat nav etc. and it doesn't work with my car! :mad:

As far as I am aware there are two other cables available, ending in 794 or 812. Does anyone know the correct cable that we need to buy? I have seen people describing the models as R55 etc. but I don't know what this means!

I found parts with numbers ending in 623 and 812 but not 794 ...

BTW, R55 is the designation for a pre-LCI Clubman.

I'm in the same boat, no usb will work in my usb socket so I might as well buy the Mini/bmw part. :angry:

I just bought one of eBay for £7 odd quid, get music and playlist with full control via the Interface just no Video (get the Audio from the Video though if that makes sense).

Also noticed the Mini User Manual state video in MPG and H234 (i think) is playable. The video i tried was MP4. Will try an MPG and see if it works.

Have a 2011 Mini Clubman Hampton (still need to post some pics up) with full media (mini connected etc.)
