I own a mini one pack of 2003 with an Alpine head unit boost. I wonder if it is possible to display the title, artist ... of a song on the head unit with a Dension Gateway 100? What do you advise me otherwise for my car for an iphone 3GS?

I am currently looking at either of these, they allow you to control you iPhone / iPod from the controls on the steering wheel.

It tricks the car radio into thinking the iPod is a CD changer.

Only problem is when a call comes through it will go through the iPhone speakers. However hit it on loud speaker and talk away.

You have a choice between:

iPod connector and steering wheel controls

or

3.5 mm audio jack (like the one on your headphones) with no wheel controls but incoming calls will be played through car speakers.


Then ofcourse you can get a bluetooth module etc, but then you may aswell buy a new radio with all them features.

In fact, doing research, I came across the following model: paser maestro. It plugs into the radio (without atant remove this feature) and so can display the text safe (thanks to the RDS in France).

For cons, I do not know if the quality is the same as with the Dension Gateway 100?

Are there other brands that make a product equivalent to paser Maestro (cheaper)?

I also want to install speakers Focal 165 KS. Is there any spacers? How are things going for the connection of wire?
