Hello,

Just been having a look under my Mini Cooper S (2004) and at the back, on the right had side (looking at it from the rear) there's what looks like a tank/box sliver in colour.

What is this ? theres the same on the left hand side of the car as well.

The one on the right has rusted quite bad and has a crack in it :eek:

The left side is fine though from what i can see.

Anyone tell me what the does/what its called ???

Are you talking about the muffler / resonator for the exhaust system?

On mine the right hand side box is fairly badly rusted.

I take it the whole thing would need to be replaced ??

Just convert it to a "One Ball" exhaust ...
