I just purchased a 2009 Mini Cooper S 5 days ago and am loving it, but I had an odd question. I've tried using the search feature to see if this has been asked before, so I apologize if I missed it somewhere:
The used car dealer I purchased it from seemingly didn't know much in regards to Mini features, and I must admit I'm not too well educated myself. I am not sure if it has the hi-fi sound option or the standard sound option.
Is there anything to look for, or any sort of way to tell what sound option was chosen on the vehicle? I do not have an owner's manual for it.
I've counted 6 speakers, two on each door and one on each side of the backseat. There is an aux input jack on the bottom of the radio if this helps any.


I'd like to upgrade the speakers, but it'd help if I could find out which sound package was originally installed beforehand.

I don't have a second gen MINI but I believe that the HiFi option puts a tweeter on each A pillar (either side of the windshield)
