I finally got my VIN today, so am excited to see where my new baby is at.

I threw the VIN into the WW website for tracking and it spat this out:

Up the top in the results that have 'Cargo ID' it clearly shows the VIN the dealer gave me, yet the above screen cap shows that it was delivered... last year?

Have I got a wrong VIN or is the WW being difficult...

(also, anyone care to tell me how far along my car might be based on having a VIN for it now? The Dealer has not given me any timelines for build/shipping, and the above info being so wildly wrong, it's perplexing me).

In addition I threw the production number into the VIN checker for BMW, and it also showed the above car (although the VIN checker says it's valid as of May this year; is it possible for a car made as recently as 12 months ago to have the same ID as one made in June/July this year? And I would have thought that the full VIN would have been substantially different and not appeared in the WW tracking site...)

OK this can be ignored. I had the wrong VIN (got the right one now!) :)
