: The good, the bad and the ugly...

Thought I'd share some experiences with my vast dealings with some dealers. :D

Firstly massive thumbs up for Sytner in High Wycombe. These guys can't help enough to help you in your purchase of your car. I've now had 4 cars from these guys and they are superb. They even are very friendly in the BMW department even though I always reverted back to my Minis!

Service is awesome here too and they provide quick while you wait servicing or can help quickly on any faults and warranty work. Courtesy cars never a problem either if you book in advance or they can drop you at the train station. I did quibble on some brakes wearing quickly and they were quick to give me a discount on the parts... I can fit them myself.

2nd up is Specialist Cars in Stevenage. I've used these guys for servicing also and also are spot on with assistance and lists to the train station. Have bought a 1 series from these guys too and were very helpful.

Previously to these guys I tried booking a service appointment with Stephen James in Enfield. I had a 'while-u-wait' service booked and when I arrived they said they couldn't find my appointment in the system and told me to re-book. I complained, left and will never go back! Idiots. I even complained to a member of staff in the sales office about their service and he even agreed they were useless!!

I also once had a service booking with Coopers in Reading. While they were good about me dropping my car in at their BMW garage near the station, they wanted to charge me £50 to reset my service light on the brakes. I had a service booked for other things but had done the brakes myself the day before to keep costs down so asked if they wouldn't mind resetting the brake service indicator also when they did the service ones. I declined and since found out it takes 2 seconds to do yourself with a few button presses. Cheeky s*ds.
