I've searched all over the place and I cannot see anywhere that confirms that the engine in the 112BHP diesel Cooper D All4 is in fact BMW, coming from an RCZ :aargh:and the problems that brought with it, I don't want a repeat certainly with the engine.

The Mini salesman told me it was BMW but a friend who runs a Peugeot dealership said it was still a PSA engine but with BMW tweeks.

Any confirmation would be greatly appreciated or at least point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Rob.

It's a BMW engine.
Hmmmm Ineresting answer, any chance you can expand.

The reason I ask is I know that BMW have signed up again with PSA to produce more engines.

The answer is simple: It's a BMW engine; the same as a 116d with a shorter stroke.

The confusion comes from the following:
The old MINI diesel engine was PSA.
The petrol engines are a collaboration between BMW and PSA.
