Hi
Looking to change the stereo in my mini cooper and without removing the whole unit wondered if anybody can confirm whether its a round or a flat pin ?
Its the standard unit that was in the car from manufacture could anyone advise looking to go get new stereo tomorrow.
Thanks

This may help?
It says 'Harness adaptor coverts round pin main plug to flat pin (required)'

I have a similar question. I will be calling NewMINIStuff once I get a chance but I wonder if someone can answer it given they have first hand knowledge of this.
I have ordered Parrot MKI9000 for iPod/Bluetooth connectivity for my Mini One. My Mini One has 6 CD Changer (I'm not sure whether they are factory installed) in the back with standard BOOST tape.
It would be easy to make a decision based on this page on Parrot's Installation diagram website.
However, my Mini One has factory Satellite Navigation as well. When I fill out the form with values, it asks me whether my Mini has Tape/CD, Sat Nav or HK. Selecting Tap/CD or Sat Nav gives me PC000006AA and PC000001AA respectively.
Now, I'm confused which cable to cable to order either the PC000006AA or PC000001AA.
And I am wondering if 6 CD Changer wasn't factory installed, the previous owner must have got it installed. Does that mean that there must be something already present to accept ISO connectors? I guess, the answer can be found by opening it up and finding out but I'm just looking for a bit of a heads up really.
I don't need the 6 CD Changer anyway, so that'll be going up on eBay. I can't seem to find a guide of installing the Parrot Kit either. I'll try looking up how to take the stereo out I guess that should allow me to access the back.
Any suggestions please?

From what I have read, minis with the wave stereo have round pin and minis with boost stereo have the flat pins. hope it helps...
