I have a 2005 mini cooper convertible (I have been lead to believe it's a R52, but honestly I dont know) with the Harman/Kardon sound upgrade, and auxillary input later installed by the Mini dealership. I noticed awhile back that the lower front two speakers (not the tweeters) are not working at all, yet all of the other speakers work perfectly. I have taken it to the Mini dealership I bought it from, and they could'nt seem to find anything wrong with it. Today (6/30/11) I decided that I was going to try and see if there was anything I could do about it. I took the door panel's off, and of course did'nt see much of anything wrong. The wire connection on the drivers side speaker (on the speaker itself not the wiring connecting it to the car) looked to be slightly corroded, but the passenger side speaker was fine. I tried connecting the pass. side speaker to the driverside to see, if by some chance it would work and to no avail it did'nt. I would love to hear any ideas as to what the problem may be, and suggestions on how to fix it.
Thanks!
