Hi

I have a late 2010 Cooper D with centre armrest and full usb bluetooth option. I rang Mini dealer in Stevenage today to ask for a snap-in for iPhone 4. They said that the only one I can use is the non-media version - so I can't stream music from the iPhone when plugged into centre armrest. They think that mini-connect is required to enable music playback through armrest. Has anyone else had this problem / found a solution? I don't want to have to go down the y-cable route because they're so messy and I've usually go bottles in the bottle holders.

Out of interest, on the 2-line display below the central speedo I get to choose input options of Tuner, CD, Aux, USB1 and USB2. Why are there two usb options if only 1 can be used to stream music?

Thanks

Rob.

I have Visual Boost (screen), but my snap-in worked fine without Mini Connected (not available on your car)

I have full bluetooth as well and can connect my iPhone for phone & audio. Is that possible on your car? If so you stream music via bluetooth.

If you're in the Surrey area this Sunday (7th Aug.) I'll be at the Surrey New Mini - pub meet if you want to try it out.

My iPhone works great as hand-free, pairs with the mini no problem. I've never thought of trying to stream the music via bluetooth. How do I do that?

Thanks for the offer to try out your snap-in but I live in Yorkshire - long way to Surrey!

You'll need to check the manual - on mine there is two options when pairing my iPhone one for the phone (no kidding!), the other one for music.

I've just checked, I don't get an option to pair for streaming :(

I guess the Visual Boost must be needed for that.
