: Show us your first gen cooper! solidsponge Aug 5th, 2011, 10:07 PM It would be nice to see first gen coopers ONLY in our forum, so we can all see specifically what people have done or just a nice photo of their first gen cooper, rather than all the types of minis we see elsewhere, nice as they are.
Show your best photo (1-2 max, be easier to browse), usually good to keep comments to a minimum and no lengthy discussions, so people can browse lots of cars at once.
Here is mine to start, just took this earlier for this post (sorry for enlarged quality, I don't have a good camera):

MINI2 has its own Galleries (http://www.mini2.com/galleries/) to upload to and provides clickable thumbnail code to copy and paste in posts. Much better than Photobucket because multiple clickable thumbnails can be viewed like a slideshow.
You can also used the attachment feature as Donz has done to include up to 5 images in a post. Sure its a good forum feature, but the photobucket shows large images so you dont have to add the extra clicking. As in you go to the forum page, scroll down and see the images, otherwise you are clicking a lot. Different usability issues. The browser is good though sure, I imagine people have their preference.
Although the gallery one costs the forum in bandwidth and if you click the photobucket one it could be ginormous (no size limit) which is a benefit of that.
unfortunately looks like theres only 3 first gen cooper owners on here! solidsponge Aug 11th, 2011, 09:54 PM Here's mine
Nice one sir! dsakko Aug 11th, 2011, 11:56 PM http://www.motorkhana-sa.com/Gallery/2005-Rnd1/BMW%20Mini.jpg
:D Sold it 2 years ago. Was a wild beastie with 6 spd Cooper S gearbox and tonnes of mods. Strong, reliable car. MINIAC Aug 12th, 2011, 03:19 PM Sure its a good forum feature, but the photobucket shows large images so you dont have to add the extra clicking.
The Site Guidelines (http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_faq_site_guidelines) require using clickable thumbnails when posting multiple images ;) dkey Aug 14th, 2011, 06:45 PM Loved the grey one! Not going to give it all the blah blah blah so I wont.
Hope you like it and I am wondering whether to go the full Chav hog and fit louis vuition pattern to A panels and roof.
I dont think you can go too far with a mini.
Heres some better pictures including the A panels

Im more OEM style myself, but I do like fluffy dice!
One easy way to improve cars look is to spray the lower metal grill black, looks much better then (they shouldnt have done it silver on the coopers, its black on the mini one I think). I did mine and it certainly looks nicer, although its started to come off so bah!
Hey also you might wanna start your own post up about your car :) Aussie Rob Sep 9th, 2011, 01:24 AM Some very nice cars here; a credit to you all. leadsled Sep 9th, 2011, 03:32 AM Here is my 04 184k miles still running strong such a great car. Scupham Sep 9th, 2011, 10:46 AM Very nice leadsled. Have you had any problems at all / what is your maintenance like? I would like mine to last way past 150k miles Stortford Sep 9th, 2011, 04:46 PM If you look a few posts above you see what the wifes car looked like until a couple of days ago.

Like the changes, wheels are fantastic, I may of keeped the black arches as it does seem too blue as if it still hasn't been demasked coming out of out of the bodyshop, so love the roof, wheels, colour combinations, but just a tad too much blue....
Ps, maybe some black vinyl to overcome that as the colour coded wheel arch's do suite the wheels, hartge has the right balance on the home page.... C00P3R2011 Sep 21st, 2011, 02:29 PM http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/8382/11111111111rg.jpg
Here's my 2003 Cooper with Chilli Pack.
I'm happy with how it looks, but might change the side indicators to white.
And I want to do something to the dash as I think it looks a bit cheap. Thinking some kind of wrap?
If money was no issue I'd probably have the same wheels but in chrome, but that might be OTT + make it a thief magnet. colemclean Oct 2nd, 2011, 09:51 PM 03 R50 Aero'd Cooper
