apologies if this has already been mentioned elsewhere - the 'build your own' facility on miniusa now includes the coupe.

anyone know when the uk site will have this?

Something I noticed when looking at the specs of the coupe vs the hardtop is that the coupe is slower from 0-60. I still don't understand why they made this car. It's heavier, slower, less aerodynamic, has fewer seats, less space, and it's uglier (okay, that's subjective) than the hardtop.

Wait till you see the soft top :D It all becomes worth it. (I've only seen spy shots so far but makes the hard top look even uglier imo).

Coupe should have been more powerful and rear wheel drive. Right now its only better in looks department (subjective).

But if the coupé had been anything other than a standard Mini with a different roof panel, it would have to cost maybe £5,000 more than it does, just to recover all the extra tooling costs over a small production run.
