Hi is there an issue with rear wheel/end grip on the R57 cooper D's, i entered a large roundabout in a spirited manner but not excessively fast yesterday only to find the rear contisport Run flats let go and i had a slight rear end drift going on, i was rather surprised to say the least as i have gone round this same roundabout many time's in other cars and never had an issue, i checked pressures later that day to find 36psi all round, so i lowered to the 2.2bar listed, thanks to any reply.

Your problem is the runflats, the sidewalls are reinforced so they cannot flex like conventional tyres. Ditch the runflats and your handling will increase and road noise will decrease :)

Actually ordered a set of normal tyres before the incident happened, thanks for the reply Alan.

How much tread is left on the rear run flats?

Was the road wet?
