Hi, i want to get my cooper cabriolet remapped but not sure where is good and dont want to get taken on! can anyone recomend a good place to go to in se london or kent borders?

just to update in case anyone else was interested, ive found a local guy who does ecu remaps. he is part of the Elite group, and will come to my house to remap it. minis booked in for saturday so will let you know how i get on!!!:D

Hi again! have had my remap done, the guy was lovely, friendly and better still, very good at what he does! the mini has gone up to about 130bhp, could have had more but dont want to knacker my engine. i know its not a massive increase but it feels much faster and smoother pulling away. not sure of the mpg benefits yet as i want to try it out once ive had a full tank in but as far as the remap goes it was well worth the cash! inbox me for his details if your interested.... :tongue:

How do you know what horsepower the tune gave you :confused:

Might get 5-10bhp bluefin, iridium spark plugs, air filter...although more suited to mini one.

Although I think stock cooper has more than the 115bhp it supposed to have to start with?

I think my stock cooper is fast enough after much looking at cooper s. Sure its faster in an s, but the cooper is a lot of fun to drive actually.

Can i ask how much the guy charged you for the remap at your house?

I dont trust these guys that come around and remap your car and claim they can get 25bhp by just remapping the ecu on non charged cars like the cooper.
I know a mate of mine who was ripped off by one of these guys.
the guy told him that the remap would take upto 24hours.
it did nothing to the car infact i asked him why he paid for the remap when the engine management light was still on as the remap switched that off.
