I really love our MINI but the one thing that bugs me is whenever I drive it in the rain or when water is sitting on the roof and I open the window a tiny amount the water either pours off the roof and into the car or the wiper blades push it in to the car. Is there anything that can be done to improve this apart from keeping the window closed ;) . It also pours straight into the car when you open the door to get into it after its been raining and the seats get soaked! :(
I have only had one other car that did this but I fitted small wind deflectors to cure it, I don't think you can get them for MINI's because the doors are frameless. My old classic mini has much better gutters for stopping this happening ;)

Must be some sort of design fault, i get the same thing with my R53 , especially bad after the car has been waxed & you drive off with the window open a tiny bit, 1st left hand bend & the overnight rain just pours in .

I've always had the same with an R53 and R56, just have to make sure you get it round a few corners before opening the windows :D
And get in very carefully after rain.

Your bang on! :D It doesn't matter if its the lightest mist on the roof it always pours in the window when you brake or go around a bend.
I wonder why Mini have not done anything to improve this problem, I can't believe they don't know about it
