Hi,

I used to be able to press the BC button on the indicator stalk to cycle through the various readings including a digital reading of speed, but also to get into the computer to look at for example I think the next MOT/service type information.

When I click BC now, whether the engine is running or not, it doesn't do anything.

Has anyone else had this? It is an R56 Cooper S.

Sorry to hear of your problems and see you've had no replies.
I can't help an awful lot but seem to remember you can fiddle a bit with things on the display in the speedo. I think there's a computer symbol you select and then repeat some of the functions for the computer on that. It may be a starting place.
Is there any warranty on your car? Maybe the switch itself is dodgy? Have you tried searching to see if there's a reset function?
