Hi
There are a couple of threads on here about how to install the obc with both a new stalk and with a bespoke button. However both seem to require the dealer to enable the ecu for the obc to work.
I was thinking about it but my local dealer is reluctant to do the ecu thing if I fit the stalk myself!
I am using my Android phone and a obd II Bluetooth adaptor to get MPG etc at the moment. Might do the obc upgrade later. Let us know if you can get it working without the dealer.

Fitting a Scangauge (http://www.mini2.com/forum/search.php?query=scangauge&exactname=1&starteronly=0&forumchoice%5B%5D=0&childforums=1&titleonly=1&showposts=0&searchdate=0&beforeafter=after&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending&replyless=0&replylimit=0&searchthreadid=0&saveprefs=1&quicksearch=0&searchtype=1&nocache=0&ajax=0&userid=0) would probably be cheaper than retrofitting the OBC, and would give you more information.
