I've got a 51 Mini One, with very low mileage. I was going to upgrade my mini and just buy a new one but just found out about the JCW Body kits. Just wanted to know if there were any shops that did them in or near London. Only one i could find was in lancashire for 800 pounds.
I am 21 and this is my first car. I tried to get a bmw 330i but they wouldnt insure me, settled for the mini and now im in love with it. Want it to last me a few years before i get my bmw.
Is the aerokit worth it or should i just sell my car and buy a newer one?
help any1????

£800 in primer is about right...
Lloyd Blackpool MINI are a forum sponsor and offer the kit for £795 including VAT and postage, plus another £525 if you want it painting. See this (http://www.mini2.com/forum/lloyd-blackpool-mini/120462-special-offer-aero-kit-1st-gen.html) thread.
Hope that helps, and welcome to the forum. :)

thanks,
Would i be able to choose the colour of the kit at Lloyd Blackpool MINI? also do you have any pictures of what the full kit would add to the car as i'm not quite sure.
Also do they do fitting as part of the price? if not how much would fitting cost? and are there any parts shops near or in london

They can paint the kit any OEM color.
For pricing on the kit painted and fitted ask Chris in the following thread ...

Get a new MINI with the kit on. I just dont think £1000 on the looks will translate to the cars value.
I think you could find a MINI with the JCW kit / newer / slightly more mileage for less than you paid for your car + JCW kit

Further to the pictures posted by MINIAC, you get front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a black front grille, plus all the various bits of trim and fixings required... there's also an Aero rear spoiler, but this doesn't come with the kit and needs to be purchased separately.
MINI would probably charge you a couple of hours labour to fit the kit, but you could do it yourself, or find an indie garage to do it for less. :)

I agree to an extent... spending £1300 on the car will add practically nothing to the value. That said, if you plan to keep it for a while, you shouldn't be worrying about what it'll be worth when you come to sell yet.
If you're happy with the car, go for it... you could buy another MINI with the kit already on, but you risk ending up with a lemon (whereas you currently have a good example). :)
