Hi all i have a 2007 mini cooper diesel with 73000 miles on the clock, under hard acceleration a yellow picture of the engine displays on the dash, and some power is lost but if you stop the engine and restart it all seems normal again until the next time, any ideas?

You need to get the fault code retrieved so you have a better idea, are you a member of the rac or aa, they will retrieve it for you for free if your a member

Yes I'm a member of the AA but as soon as i turn the engine off the fault disappears

It should keep the fault code in the memory

Hi mate AA man came out yesterday and the only thing he could tell me was the fault code is P 3002, the car hadn't stored the code so we went for a quick drive to make the fault happen then he could read the code before i removed the key fob. Any one know what code 3002 is?

car always serviced by mini but i ordered one from my local spares place. do you know where i can access the filter, done a search on here but can't find info for the cooper diesel and also do you need to bleed the system after filter change? thanks for your help

Hi just to let you all know incase you have the same problems, changed fuel filter today and after a short vigerous test drive all seems ok, fuel filter is in the engine bay under the air filter intake pipe, the new filter didn't come complete there's a section on the input side of the filter where the 2 pin electric plug is needs sliding off the old filter to re-use on the new filter also fill the new filter with diesel before fitting to help with the restart, hope this helps someone else out there.
