My partner has hit a pigeon and smashed the indicator/side light and dislocated the fake vent that goes in the hole below it in the bumper (presumably that blanks a hole used for an optional light?).

I've replaced the light and I've spent an hour or so doing 'keyhole surgery' trying to get the vent cover into place but to no avail.

I've snapped the vent cover spring fixing trying to put it back in place :( I've epoxied it back together but I'm not hopeful I can get it refitted and will probably need to replace it or just glue the beggar in position :biggrin:

Do I really have remove the whole front bumper to reposition or is there a knack I'm missing to get it in?
I don't want to fork out for another one then ruin it trying to fit it but I don't really want to dismantle the whole front of the car if I can avoid it.

Any pointers much appreciated and thanks in advance.

90 odd views and no thoughts - ho hum I've had a go at gluing the spring part back together. Superglue makes no bond and even a very liberal application of 2 part epoxy has failed to create a join.

Looks like I'll be removing the front bumper or at least the nearside fixings.
