: Parking Sensor Cover or alternative... for Aero Kit

Hi All,

I have just bought my first mini cooper R50 last week and just joined the forum today.

The guy I bought the mini from also gave me an Aero Kit factory painted to match my car but unfortunately the rear bumper has holes for PDC parking sensors. The car does not have any factory fitted sensor though.

Can someone recommend a cheap sensor that will fit in the holes or some kind of cover that stick in the holes to block it and paint to match the bumper?

I have called Mini and they told me the completed kit will cost £780.00 which is a lot of money:confused:

Many Thanks

What colour is the car? If it's dark, you could just plug them up with cheap bungs from a DIY place? I did something similar on my first MINI (Velvet Red) and it was barely noticeable, but I can't seem to find a picture...

Either way, welcome to the forum! :D

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, its Pure Silver.

Where about did you get the bungs?

Cheers

I think they were from B&Q! :o

Not sure if they'd look odd on a silver car, being such a light colour? I suppose you could always find some suitable bungs (or similar), and either prime and paint them, or attempt some sort of vinyl wrap? :)

Hi,

I found a company on-line call steel mate and they supply covers for parking sensors :)
