ive snapped my aerial off down into the little box bit that sits inside the headliner so need a new one. i dont know what this is called and obviously need to buy a replacement..
any info would be much appreciated.

I think it depends on a few things - exactly when your car was built, whether you have nav etc.

I think you'll probably get away with a new antenna and antenna base? Doubt you'll need anything else. I bet it's a pig of a job though... will the roof lining need to come out? I did the same on a car a few years ago (non-MINI), but luckily the aerial was at the front, and all of the workings were accessible via the front interior light.
