Hi all

Im new to this site and was hoping someone could help me.

I have a mini cooper 57 reg and am looking at getting a few things done to it, firstly would be to have the interior changed to english oak, would anyone know how Im best getting this done, and how much It would be to do so?

Also I would like to get all the rings chromed inside the car.

How much would a dealer charge for both these jobs? or is there a cheaper way to do it.

Any help would be great people

For the wood, I have found a kit that will add it, though I'm not sure if it's the English Oak.

As far as adding chrome, there are two methods. You can purchase the chrome kit that MINI uses, which includes all of the interior pieces that have chrome on them. That means you have to remove the pieces that are already there and install the new ones, which is a pain. There is also a chrome kit that includes rings that you can simply attach to the interior to add chrome. I chose to use this method, since it's roughly half the price, easier to install, and it includes a lot more pieces.

Here's a photo of before and after in my MCS:

In my opinion, the chrome is great, except the center speedo, that is just a little too much. I'm going to try to fix that by making the outside of it black to match the rest of the interior, with only the inside of the ring being chrome.

I know you're in the UK, but here is a link to both products for sale in the US. You should be able to find them for sale in the UK as well. Hope this helps!

You might want to look into vinyl wrapping the dash pieces. You can get English Oak or many other exotic wood patterns such as teak, rosewood, etc.. Just search for vinyl wraps. I'm sure this would be much cheaper than changing out the parts and you could make your MINI unique at the same time.
