Hello eveyone.

I'm looking for advice in putting together a decent cleaning kit for the MINI and wanted your advice on what products to include.

This might be shampoos, waxes. wheel cleaners.

It might be more elaborate tools like pressure washers and foam guns.

I my only real goal is to create something that isn't too specialist, I don't want to spend hours and hours cleaning the car, I want something i can use for a regular fortnightly top to bottom, inside and out clean.

All ideas are welcome

Robert

AutoExpress magazine often do comparism tests with a 'star' rating of various cleaning products which I find quite useful, as there is so much to choose from and the prices vary quite a lot.

This is a test of wheel cleaners:

Polishes and waxes:

Leather cleaners:

Trim cleaners:

Upholstery cleaners:

Not sure how you can compare waxes and polishes...as they do different things and you need both. When I started out, I found the Meguires 3 step the most useful for regular cleaning. Just make sure you use a noodle mit when washing and rinse the mit in a different bucket to your soapy water.
