: How do I change the Cabin Air Filter

Hi ,I have had my 2004 Mini Cooper for nearly 2 years and would like to know how I can change the cabin air filter on my right hand drive mini,thanks Tony

Working in the passenger footwell (RHD), reach up and unclip the black plastic cover from the pollen filter. (Note: some models have four screws retaining the cover so you may need a torch to inspect fixings).
Pull down the lower end of the paper filter element inside and slide it from the housing.
Install the new filter element, it locates in guide slots and curves around the housing as you slide it carefully back into position.
Finally refit the plastic cover, if the clips break, suitable size self-tapping screws can be used through the cover holes instead.

Note: The cabin/pollen filter is same size but a different part number for Mini's fitted with air-conditioning (carbon activated filter).

Take a look on youtube there is some videos on this. Its straight forward enough to do though.
