I got in my 2001 Cooper this morning, reversed up the road to turn and water poured out from the headlining. It came from the front just behind the rear view mirror. It dripped onto the top ofthe dash intomthe vent.

I don't know how it got in. I can only think it came in from the roof aerial. The seal seems ok. It did rain lastnight bythe way. Where could it have come from and what can I do?

Hi

I take it it does not have a sun roof,
It could be a few things it's hard to say with out looking at it.
I take it you aerial is at the back as normal, have you checked the rubber trunking that goes from the car to the tail gate at the top.
Have you had your widescreen changed lately may be its badly sealed or starting to debond is all the trim ok around the roof.
If you have rear wash wipe does that work ok its not a damaged pipe in the roof.
Are your windows closing properly ie drop when you open the door and rise when you close them.
Sorry cant help more but it's hard to tell with out seeing it :-(

Hope this gives you some ideas

Thanks for the reply.

No sunroof and the screen hasn't been replaced.

The rear screen washer doesn't work but has been like that for ages. Does the outer cover for the rear roof aerial come off? I suppose I need to try and seal that first. How do I remove the headlining? Is it easy?

Hi ya

Not shore about the roof trim but to remove the aerial you can unscrew the main aerial then the base unscrews. Anti clock wise looking down on to it.
