when I finally get the R53 cooper s, what's the safe limit to modify the engine power wise?

I mean my current focus is safe (ish) to around the 300bhp mark any more then there are issues with block liners splitting etc.

I'm looking at remap, intercooler, induction exhaust then possibly internal parts, what's the norm within the mini community?

as for handling ill be looking into Anti roll bars, coilovers, polybushes, lsd.

Front mounted intercooler, head, cam, 550 injectors, tune, smaller pulley etc. there's quite a few cars running 270 - 280 bhp fairly reliably .

Speak to Paul or Thomas at 1320 Mini - Mini Parts - Mini Performance Parts (http://www.1320MINI.co.uk) they'll be able to sort you out mod/advice wise:wink:

As long as your car hasn't got very high mileage you should be fine with a 17% reduced pulley/larger intercooler/CAI/re-map:wink:
