Hi Guys,
I have a question, just recently had my 15% reduction (Alta V2) pulley and lightened crankshaft installed. The guys at the garage didn’t have the removal tool (my fault) and therefore destroyed the OEM pulley in removal, I also gather from what I have read they may have moved the SC shaft in the process. In the end they had trouble getting perfect alignment Long story, but they played with the shaft adjustment as best as possible but say it is not perfectly aligned :puzzled:?. Car is going well but when the car is still cool (up until about 10min+ of driving) the belt still squeaks once going over 4,500rpm. I am wondering if the belt they have used is an issue, or still alignment issues with the shaft ?
Any advice ? Should I look at another belt ?
Pleased to hear any comments, suggestions. Next job is the CAT BACK.
Also , anyone here have a good mechanic on the Gold Coast, Australia familiar?? (BMW / Mini dealership).
Thank you
