I'm looking for an exhaust to beef up the sound of my 2005 R50 a little, been looking at Play mini, Scorpion etc, something under £150 (I'm 17 and can't afford more!) and I came across this on eBay, anyone got any opinions?

MINI2 won't let me post link's, so, on eBay type in: 'TopClass BMW MINI exhaust' and it should be there!

I'm not sure if it'd be a massive waste of money and whether or not I'm better spending my money elsewhere.

Hi, I found this on ebay for £164 (a little bit more than the price you wanted but it looked good). The advert says it would just be straight replacement so it should be easy enough to install.

I think i saw the exhaust you were talking about. Was it from Germany on the advert?

They're both a waste of money cause you won't pass an MOT with them! Plenty of road legal exhausts around that will give your car a more throaty tone

thanks for the replies guys, how much can you get a second hand sportex exhaust for?
I'm not awfully good with my knowledge on second hand exhaust prices, I'm sure some of you are, so help me out!
If I can get one for about £80 or so I would do it but I doubt that's possible is it?
Any alternatives to the Sportex or PlayMINI? Which would you choose and why?
I DON'T WANT SOMETHING TOO LOUD, just a little bit, and a slightly throatier sound.

I purchased a Scorpion catback unresonated system last week. I will be fitting it in the next few days, maybe the weekend and I will let you all know how it is. I decided against the playmini amongst others not because there was anything I didn't like about them, but because I watched many Scorpion videos on YouTube and decided it was the sound I was looking for. They seem to sound absolutely fantastic. I'll post some video footage of it when installed, and a comparison between my stock (apart from the optional extra of rust and holes!) One exhaust and the Scorpion.
