Thought I would post a thread in case anyone has a similar issue.

My '08 MCS had a ticking sound in the engine. I originally thought it was the cold rattle that everyone has but mine was more random when it would happen not just when its cold. I took it into the dealer. They put in a new Oil pump and that seems to have fixed it. Granted I've only had the car back for 20 minutes. If it comes back I'll update this post.
