hi every1, i hope i post in the right place.. anyway i have r56 2008 turbo with auto trans and the engine broke.. i came across a JCW engine for sale very clean and very very low mile age, now i know (and seen) a JCW engine fitted on normal r56s with manual gearbox and run ok.. but now i want to buy this JCW engine but my trans is auto should it fit ? my trans would have any problem such it could not handle it? if it fitts do i need to buy additional parts? many ppl say yeah it could fit but am nt sure!! any advices for the excperts here ..much appricaited and u can save my day.. thnx in advance.

What happened to your old engine?

crank broke + overheat becuz of the head engine .. so generally its useless or costly to fix.

I'm certainly no expert, however, IMHO the JCW engine and your transmission will not match without some part changes. I THINK all JCW cars are manual transmissions, and if I'm correct on that, your auto transmission will not directly bolt up to that engine. In all the cars I've ever worked on, the manual transmission vs the auto transmission requires at least a different flywheel as well as a few other parts. Also, I'm not sure the standard mini automatic transmission will, over the long haul, take the hp of the JCW engine w/o beefing it up some.
