Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this thread.

I recently purchased and installed the Dension ICE link lite so that I could play my IPod through the WAVE stereo of my 03 mini cooper.

The ICE link works perfectly except for an annoying static sound. The static appears to come from the all the speakers and only occurs with certain (louder) sounds (even so its really annoying).

Initially I thought maybe there was a problem with the ICE link but my girlfriend informed me that it does exactly the same when playing the IPod using the cassette adapter (i have since experienced this for myself- also very annoying).

I have checked the 'continuity' of the all the cables and, even tried changing the head set.

There is no static when playing the radio

So far I've forked out about £130 and I still cant play my IPod through my stereo.

Would be grateful for any help or advice other members might be able to provide. Thanks in advance, Mark

I have found on these things in the past is to have the ipod at about 75% volume and just turn the car headunit up for higher volume. That has got rid of the static on mine - always worth a go :)
