Brands Hatch will be celebrating all things 'Mini' when it hosts a major new event in the form of the Brands Hatch Mini Festival on 16-17 June.

With a history spanning more than 50 years, the Mini in its former and current guise is one of the most iconic cars of all time and the famous Kent circuit plans to commemorate the marque with a unique event in the summer. A superb line up of Mini-based motorsport is set to entertain spectators while Mini owners from across the country will be invited to showcase their cars around the 1.2 mile Indy circuit. There will be various off track activities with a display of special motorsport Minis old and new, a Mini stunt show, trade village, parades, live music and festival fun for motor racing fans throughout the weekend.

More than 20 Mini Owners' Clubs have already confirmed their attendance at the inaugural Brands Hatch Mini Festival on 16/17 June.

A total of 23 clubs from as far afield as The Netherlands and North Wales have booked club stands to display their Minis at the UK's newest Mini Festival. While the event is still months away, there is plenty of time to book club stands, as the Brands Hatch Mini Festival hopes to bring together Mini Clubs from across the UK and Europe to celebrate all things Mini.

Members of Clubs who have booked a stand will receive exclusive discounts on admission, camping and grandstand tickets. Each mini club will receive a branded ticket page with the club's logo along with a unique web url. They will also enjoy a parade lap of the famous Brands Hatch circuit, FOC limited edition event sticker and discounts on event merchandise.

With 11 dedicated Mini races and various trackside activities, including a Mini stunt show, air display, live music and trade village, the Brands Hatch Mini Festival is an event not to be missed.

Pleased to say I'll be going to this - going in a convoy organised by my local dealer - and will be doing the parade lap too! :)

I expect I'll post a gallery of pictures after the event.

Fancy this but what's the turn out like for new BMW minis? Only over the dartford crossing for me. Gonna get to mini in the park in August has looks like a massive giggle.

This is the first year of this new event but judging by the owners uploaded photos of MINI's/Mini's on the Brands Hatch Mini Festival website and the interest shown on New MINI forums like TotalMINI and Surrey New MINI there is going to be a pretty good turnout of BMW MINI's over the weekend. There are also rounds of the New MINI Challenge Race series on both days. :cool:

I'll be popping down for a couple of hours on Saturday morning :)

This sounds like so much fun.

MSV information:
All Car Clubs that wish to go on circuit for the parade laps on Saturday and Sunday lunchtime will need to sign on and receive a wristband before going on circuit.

Once you have parked in your designated Car Club Stand, please make your way to the signing on booth and sign on.

If you are taking part in the parade laps on both Saturday and Sunday you will only be required to sign on once. However, please make sure you keep your wristband on.

All participants taking part in the Parade Laps will need to adhere to the following:

1. All drivers must be in possession of a FULL and valid Driving Licence. You will be required to present this when you sign on.

2. All drivers AND passengers must sign-on and receive a wrist band

3. There is to be NO overtaking unless a car is pulling off circuit and no “hanging back” to create an excessive gap

4. Passengers may be carried within the accommodation provided by the vehicle manufacturer. No passengers under the age of 14 are allowed. All passengers must sign-on and receive a wrist band

5. The parade will be led by a control car, and at no times will any car exceed 50 mph
