Hi
My first post and my first mini.

Just bought a 2007 Black Chili pack Cooper S and it was not the best buy of my life as it turns out to have a few problems which i am hoping you guys can help with solving so i can pass on to my local mechanic who is tidying up my car (hopefully!)

1. The most annoying is this horrible judder when pulling away. It happen at low speeds and not really there when driving and changing from 1-2, 2-3 etc. What i have noticed as well is that the wheels seem to move around alot when the juddering takes place like there is something not attached right.
My mechanic say underneath the suspension all looks good and it might be the clutch? Or could it be engine mounts? Any other ideas?

2. The passenger side window goes up but not down. We have had the door card off and the motor goes up fine but when you push the switch down it just clicks. The Mechanic says it is not that easy just to say it is a faulty motor. Could it be the switch?

3. The double sunroofs open great but they are not closing. Just a clicking noise when you press the switch forward. we did manage to close it with a bit of force but as soon as you go to open it it stays open again.

one last thing I need a chrome light surround and a new gear knob. Any ideas where the best/cheapest place to get them?

Thanks for any feedback...

take a look at my thread i just posted titled "Judder In 1St->3Rd Gear When At 1-2K Revs :( Only Bought Today!" - do you have the same problem? think it may be the mass flow sensor, god knows how I will test it without replacing.
