A had this R50 Mini passed down to me through the family to get ready to drive as they upgraded to a newer 07 model. (Lucky boy i am!)

I cannot find a picture handy of it before i started the modifications how stupid of me not to take one! But it was just a basic cooper, pretty much identical to this,
http://www.snuffledopple.com/images/31656y.jpg

The first major upgrade i did was fitting the full JCW Aero Kit costing a little over £1200 for fitting, paint match everything, by far the most expensive of modifications but well worth it in my opinion. Whilst in the bodyshop i had the Mini lowered 25mm on Eibach Springs all round..

I also purcshased some BK Racing 18" Alloys costing £550 altogether with tyres. I thought this was a good price as they were new. Because you cant put on a body kit like that with the horrible wheels BMW give you! Surprisingly aswell the ride is so much more comfortable now than before. You can see these also in the pic above^

Next being the mad Stoke City fan i am had to get the X3 SFC plate when it popped up in a dvla auction. Also it hides the fact that this is a '51' plate car, and IMO it doesnt look that old and runs sweetly! Only major problem in 10 years of this car being in the family was a new gearbox (£500) not that big a price to pay considering its use! Infact we have more problems with the 07 Mini than we do this one :p

Shes a little dirty, please forgive me haha

I fitted some vinyl strpies but then took them off the day after, thought they looked horrible! Such a waste of 3 hours! Oh well

Much better here

Next job was a new exhaust, i wanted to be noticed whilst driving past so was looking for a bit more noise. Little did i realise that this was going to be as loud as a cherry bomb exhasut  However it is still completely legal and ive learnt to deal with the noise now! And i do think it is an improvement compared to a little 'pee shooter'. But i am young and young people like big exhausts please bare this is mind!! Cost with fitting = £150

I also blacked out the lights, mum took it out for a spin just to keep it ticking over until i can drive and she really wasnt too happy when she got pulled by the police with a £50 fine, oooooops! So now i have to have these stupid reflectors on so i tried to find the most un-noticable place possible, think i beat the system!

The next major install was a new audio system. Got the speakers for Christmas and think they look awesome!!!! Gonna have to start driving round with my boot up now! 2400W altogether = Very loud i had them on full blast and my passenger side wing mirror fell off, clipped it back into place though now!

However this job isnt yet finsihed im im trying to track down a stealth shelf to fit my two 6x9 speakers into. Mini's have terribly awkward parcel shelfs

And FINALLY last little surprise, a POLICE SIREN! Im going to have so much fun with this! Really loud aswell and you can plug in a mic to talk through it like a tannoy system!

Next on the List

Xenon Headlights, currently have bulbs but dont looks as good
set of 4 spotlights, (i think 4 looks better than 2)
And its a longshot but if i win the lottery some lambo doors!! (In my dreams)

Please dont think i am a spoilt brat or anything, all these modifications you see here where payed for by myself apart from speakers which i had for christmas. I had a car fund saved up and because i was very kindly given the Mini i used it all on making it my dream first car!

I am 17 in March and cant wait to get driving!! Shouldnt take me long as my mum is a driving instructor, cant wait for the day to come!

The pictures are a little bit of of order here and there but didnt think i was going to be making something like this, olly-w inspired me!

Hope you enjoy it took me over an hour to put it all together!!!

I'll look forward to some feedback on your opinions :D

Also my other little toy

GS Moon Buggy converted to GSX-R 1000cc engine! Goes like a rocket 0-60 in 4-5 seconds  scares the hell out of my dad but i love it, also cannot wait to take this for a spin on the road!

They are an awkward size, 5" diameter, so i have ordered to Kenwood 6x9's for the back and hopefully these will fit in the front and make my sounds system as good as possible! Its booked in for Saturday, ill keep you updated how it goes!

Congrats on a great looking MINI!
I'm glad you've taken inspiration from me! I take it you mean due to your age rather than the car, as your car is much more modified than mine I believe!
(And much more yellow :yellow:)!

I've never really been a fan of Liquid Yellow, but I must say, this is changing my mind!

Just out of interest, what date in March were you 17? we could have the same birthday :D
