Mini Cooper 2005

My rear wiper works when it feels like it! Sometimes when you turn it for one wipe it will go for 7 or 8. Other times it won't work and then start working when its turned off. The water jet always works. Only the other day the boot lock has started popping when you open the car door. It constantly clicks away.

Is this maybe water ingress causing the tailgate electrics to short? All the lights are fine. Where is the earth cable for the tailgate electrics?
