: Interior updates available for 2002 Cooper...?

So, I'm at a stand still with my 2002 MINI.

There are a few small cosmetic things I'd love to update and I was just wondering if it was an option? (Any information on pricing would be awesome as well.)

-- Steering wheel: Bought the car used and the steering wheel is a bit beat up. I know I can replace it, but are the steering wheels available on later models able to work in a 2002?

-- Pedals: My pedals are a bit boring. Same thing: are the silver (or chrome?) pedals in later models available for a 2002 (and where would I buy them)?

-- Side panels: The "arm rests" (or whatever you would call them) are a bit beat up, paint faded and peeled and whatnot. How much are these generally to replace?

-- Fuel cover: A lot of MINIs have the chrome gas cover, where as mine is a solid green. Is this an available upgrade as well?

Another question, not related to cosmetic updates, but rather a needed fix. The passenger side door lock doesn't go up and down, based on being locked or unlocked, respectively. Is this a simple, cheap fix?

Thanks for any help. Wanted to fit as much as I could into one thread, instead of creating a few for small questions.

For the record... I thought I was posting this thread in the First Gen. Int. and Ice section. My apologies.

The door look could be a few things it sounds like the actuator item 1 .they have a tendancy to stick and jam.
Can it be opened buy using the handle inside or out ?

Arm rest item 12 can be got from bmw/mini there are a few type so you will need to do a bit of research on them or post a picture here and someone will help you out :-) Or the other option is to find a local trim shop that might redo them for you

eBay is a good place for internal trim also check out the classifieds here at mini2

Yeah, the door opens fine, inside and out. It even locks when I lock the car, just the little knob doesn't move. Not the biggest annoyance ever, I suppose. Still frustrating. And thanks for the link for the S-style fuel cap.

Awesome. Last question-- where would I get these parts? Thru MINI or is there somewhere online these are available? Or would the dealer be able to replace these?
