I have a simple question:
Is clutch switch in R50 the same as brake switch ? :puzzled:
Also what the the best place to get the wiring for cruise control ? BMW or mini dealership, any other company that can supply it ?
Last question what is the best place to have you mini program in london ( north or west :)

Cheers

Hi
I take it this is for retrofit cruise control?
i installed this to my car at the weekend using a brake light switch, for the clutch switch.
i got the wiring loom from my local BMW dealer.
i still need to get it coded but fingers crossed:D

The R50 may have two clutch switches. One is a simple prox switch which sits adjacent to the top of the pedal. It is not the same as the Brake prox switch as the brake switch has two switched outputs, one for the brake lights, whereas the clutch prox switch only has one switched output. The clutch may also have a switch which is a plunger type switch mounted on the clutch master cylinder. This is used to detect clutch position when starting the car.(prevents starting when in gear) There is a wiring diagram in the Bentley Publishers Mini Service manual but you can also see it here at bmw-planet.com/diagrams/release/en/r50/index.htm
