Hi There,
my 56 Cooper S has 41k miles on the clock, 40k when I picked it up 3 weeks ago. I bought it at Cooper Reading and it comes with FSH.
There, however, are only 2 services in the logbook, the last at 23k dating from 2010. The car is telling me the next service would be due in 5k miles or in September 2012. But that's 23k miles and 2 years since the last one!
There is also an unused MINI TLC voucher book. But because the car is 5yrs and 2 months old that's not any good I guess.
The salesman states that they only service cars when its indicated. I never heard of any dealer handing over unserviced cars, I just expected this to be common sense when offering a 1 year warranty.
I have now experienced an issue with exhaust popping and loss of power under full throttle. I highlighted the lack of a recent service when leaving the car at my dealership this morning and they said "they would look into it".
What is your take on it?
