Ok so i bought a Mini R53 factory fitted JCW last week, on which i got a great deal and has virtually every optional pack available....
The car details are
56 Plate - Registered September 2006
1 year mini tlc
FSH
18k miles
JCW Factory Fitted KIt - 210bhp
JCW Brakes + Exhaust + Sports Suspension Plus + Recaro Seats etc etc
I have had the car pressure tested and checked over and already had it on the dyno to get a base to work off, on 3 runs it made 214, 212, 211. I understand this to be rare for a jcw to make its no.'s. I know the car is stock cos its had one middle aged lady owner..........
Also on the same day straight after a civic type R FN2 made 206, 204, so I am satisfied with the results being accurate, as i know the other car had been read at 208 before.
I know dyno figures arent always accurate too many variables can affect results, but thats another debate. Its how the car drives i am interested in.
I am not interested in huge figures, I just sold my evo so am trying to be more sensible and keep the mpg up slightly
I was looking at the crank pulley and maybe a reduction pulley but am unsure what to proceed with as i dont want to be remapping the car etc etc I have emailed lohen and alta but have not recieved a response as yet. I understand that i am more limited by the JCW that a stock S, so my real question is what can i do to a JCW to, in your opinion, improve it...........
