I have a 52 plate copper.

Over the past few weeks when the car starts in the morning it fires up and then just cuts out unless I rev it a bit? Also until the engine gets hot when I drive it threatens to cut out again. When you start up and the revs are at about 1100 as soon as you pull off and drive and then stop again the revs drop to about 5/600? But as the engine is cold it threatens to cut out!

Any help please

If the ecu is getting wrong signals from something like an engine/coolant temperature sensor it will not adjust the fuel mixture to suit conditions and can cause running problems. Older drivers will remember pulling the choke out manually to stop any stalling while cold, etc before it was all done automatically!

There are several other possibilities but most will need some basic diagnostic checks to eliminate them and find the actual cause of the problem.
