Hi folks
New here. Firstly I would like to quickly ask if someone can tell me what
Car it is that I have exactly.
There are so many models. Al I know is
It's a cooper s 54 plate uk. It has orange reflectors
On wheel arches which I believe isn't very common? I find it impossible to
Find replacements at least anyway!

Anyway my problem is the electric mirror adjuster keeps blowing
The fuse and my question is , does the mirrors have a heated element in them
Or are the not heated. I am trying to work out why they blow the fuse and my thoughts are if it's heated mirrors then the element could be the problem in one of the mirrors.
Any ideas folks will be greatly appreciated.

Hi ya

sorry this is not going to help but some mirror are heated and some are not. some are electrically folded to, as wells as electrically adjustable lens. i am sorry that that does not really help.
but if you remove your door panels and disconnect both mirrors, you my find the plugs are full of water as they point up wards.
if you disconnect both and the plugs are ok put a new fuse in and see if it blows.
plug one back in at a time and you will see what one is at fault if it blows and they are not connected you have a wiring problem. it might be then looking at the rubber conduit between the door and the body

if you are struggling for bits for your car talk to this guy chris@LloydBlackpool he will know top guy very helpfull

hope this is a start and hope it helps

Cheers for the reply.
Just to confirm the mirrors don't power fold. Only adjustment.
I will take the panels off and have a look to see.
