I did a tour of the MINI factory last night (didn't spot mine on the production line tho - apparently that has only happened twice in 9 years). You should have a fairly unique colour with the Spice Orange, it seemed 9 out of 10 were Midnight Black!

Week 18 is w/c 30th April - sounds like it's bang on schedule or early if they told you mid-May. :)

I think it will take thema week to PDI the thing. They said they would let me know when they got the chassy number, I can then get insurance etc sorted. :biggrin:

Should turn it around in a day or two tops! You know MINI Insurance will do a free 7 day cover note and only takes a day to sort out once you have the reg. Only downside is a sizeable excess.

In that case there's no reason not to take them up on their free offer :)

The good thing about MINI Insurance is they automatically cover all options from the base. It maybe Swift Cover do that as well but many insurers don't. I also found them to be extremely cheap this time around!

I took up the option of the free 7 day insurance just so I could put my girls on the insurance - I was surprised they would touch them as my insurer Aviva would not entertain them as named drivers because of their ages.

They enjoyed the few times they were allowed behind the wheel, back to being passengers now as I was not prepared to shell out the £3600 I was quoted for the full year !!!!:aargh:
